Has anyone else read Monster Island by David Wellington? Well you should, it's an absolutely superb selection for any fan of the undead, or Unliving as, Gary, the smartest zombie in Manhattan prefers to call himself. I think that is the most interesting part of the book thus far, is that parts of it are actually from a zombies perspective, quite interesting.
But yeah, if you've never heard of it, check it out. It features gun toting school girls, medically inclined unliving, sparkly fly taunting, hospital rummaging, riot police, and virgin mega-store sit ins. At least that's what I've gotten out of it so far.
I also went to my very first drag show this past Tuesday at my future college, Manchester Community.
It was absolutely fabulous, the queens were SO HOT! You could barely tell they were dudes. And the most interesting, no, baffling part of it all is that every performer was ten times better at dancing in six inch heels than all of the women in the auditorium combined. It's almost infuriating!
Last and final topic....
When you guys draw, do you find it easier to draw on paper, scan it it and then redraw digitally (assuming you own a scanner) or just sketch and draw everything on the computer?
I'm just interested in other peoples takes on the illustration process and how they make the transition from traditional to digital.
Gotta go scan some shit in myself, I've got alot of notebook work to show off. But keep me posted, don't be afraid to comment, note, whatever, even if it's not about art, I always enjoy talking to new people. :Heart:
